Use the diagram macro

Put an editable model on a Confluence page and choose the perspective that helps your readers.

Create a new diagram

Insert Revelation diagram into an editable page. A fresh macro uses its own diagram identity. Publish the page and open the empty diagram's editor to create or import a model, then Save to page.

Select an existing model

  1. Edit the Confluence page and select the diagram macro's configuration/edit control.
  2. Choose Use a diagram already attached to this page.
  3. Select the model from the list and choose Save.
  4. Publish/update the page and check the diagram.

The list includes attached models that are not yet shown by a macro. This is the route for a model just created by Rovo. Selecting an existing model points the macro at that attachment; it does not make an independent copy. Two macros pointing to it share later model edits.

Read, explore or edit

The inline view selector appears when there is more than one view. Switching it changes what you see without editing the model. Explore opens a larger temporary inspection session. Edit opens the authoring editor when you have permission.

Empty state versus a load error

An empty diagram has no saved model yet. A load error indicates a failed fetch or permission/network problem; use Retry and check access. Do not create a replacement model just because a temporary load failed.

Removing or reconfiguring a macro

A macro reference and the model attachment are separate. Reconfiguration selects another attachment; it is not a model migration or deletion command. Manage attachments deliberately, especially where more than one macro uses the same model.
