Systems, Interactions and JSON

Look behind the diagram to find an owner, compare properties or copy a list into your next discussion.

Open the data panel

Select the left-hand Systems/Interactions rail. Use Systems for elements, Interactions for relationships, Model for model settings and JSON for the model representation. Resize the drawer by dragging its edge.

Find a record

Use column filters to narrow displayed rows. Text filters match contained text; a leading ^ requests a prefix match. Select a column heading to sort. Select a row to connect your inspection to the diagram, then use Locate selection if it is off-screen.

Filtering and sorting are inspection tools. They do not delete records or reorder the underlying sequence messages.

Understand the columns

ID stays hidden in the normal Systems and Interactions tables. UI-defining properties, including Parent and applicable Pool/Lane fields, appear before custom properties. Parent and endpoint names are displayed for readability. Custom properties add columns as they occur in the model.

Copy and wrap

Copy table copies the displayed table data for use in a spreadsheet or document. Enable word wrap when values are too long. On the JSON tab the same control becomes Copy JSON; this provides model text, not a save to a file or page.

Edit through the diagram

Use the selected record's floating toolbar and Details panel to create, rename, reconnect or change properties. The drawer is primarily for browsing and copying. It is different from the Revelation for Confluence catalogue macro, which publishes a generated table into the page.
